Where the main roads of Sabah and Sarawak are far from a fast charger

We found 36 public fast (DC) charging sites in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan in six charger maps and registers, and measured the drive from every point on their 5,008 km of expressways, main federal and state roads and roads to resorts, jetties and parks to the nearest one.

An example study built from public data only: charger maps, the government charger register, OpenStreetMap roads and DOSM household income. The data is correct as of the study date, 30 September 2026; the study is not refreshed after it.

The study in 30 seconds: Sukau, the roads by their drive to a fast charger, the three states, the Pan Borneo Highway across Sarawak and the Tip of Borneo.

What a study for you adds

Limits: a road far from a listed fast charger may have one that no map lists. Any DC charger counts as fast, whatever its power. Whether a charger works, or takes your car, is not known.
